Chuen How Restaurant @ Batu Berendam, Melaka

Is it the best Char Siew in Melaka?

Apart from Char Siew and Siew Yuk, they also sell various dishes in economy rice style.  By looking at the nicely cooked Char Siew, I am sure your saliva will start to overflow out from your mouth.

I am a bit of kiasu, so I ordered a bit of Char Siew, Siew Yuk and Lap Cheong all together.  The oily part of Char Siew will melt in your mouth and tastes really great.  Same goes to Lap Cheong and I like the sweetness.

Duck Mee @ Bukit Beruang, Melaka

We sampled not only one, but two Duck Mee shops around Bukit Beruang, Melaka.

In between the two, I prefer the one from Chia Yean Restaurant.  The duck meat tastes better and tender.

Famosa Chicken Rice Ball Restaurant @ Melaka

We arrived at Jonker Street around 7pm.  Both Chung Wah and Hoe Kee already closed.  Then, we stumbled upon this restaurant, which is very well renovated and maintained.  I really impressed about the building architecture more than the food, seriously.

Speaking of food, the rice ball is very "hard" to my liking.  I still prefer the "softer" texture rice ball found in Chung Wah and Hoe Kee restaurants.  Also, there is nothing special about the chicken.

Nadeje @ Melaka

In French, Mille = Thousand.  Crepe = Thin pancake.  So, Mille Crepe = many layers of thin pancake.

In Melaka, many will recommend Mille Crepe from Nadeje.   Well, you can't be wrong.  It just tastes great and I like Crepe texture and the sweet cream in between.

F4 Fish Head Restaurant @ Subang Jaya

Was a factory or warehouse, now converted into a big restaurant and located within Subang Jaya Industries Park.  Seriously, I don't know how to relate the F4 and the Chinese Name of the restaurant (i.e. 陈秀莲).

By 7pm, the restaurant was almost full.  You can see how popular is this restaurant.

Overall, I rated the food as average.

Address:
Lot 776, Sub lot 3,
Jalan Subang 4, Subang Jaya Industries Park,
47500 Subang Jaya, Selangor

Nam Heong (南香茶餐室) @ Ipoh Old Town

Nam Heong Restaurant is a well known kopitiam @ Ipoh Old Town.  Here, you must try their original White Coffee and silky smooth flat noodle (怡保雞絲河粉).

As for Hakka Mee and Char Koay Teow, nothing is so special.

Address:
2, Jalan Bandar Timah,
30000 Ipoh, Perak.

Yap Keat Bak Kut Teh @ Subang Jaya

Didn't aware that nearby my Sister's home got a nice Bak Kut Teh restaurant.  Apparently this branch is related to the one in Puchong, Yap Chuan BKT.

This shop is run by a teenager, wow!  Frankly, I like both soup and dry Bak Kut Teh, equally good vs the one in Klang.  The next stop should be Yap Beng BKT...

Address:
Restoran Bak Kut Teh Yap Keat
No 5, Jalan USJ 1/19, USJ 1,
47600 Subang Jaya.

Kulim Forest Restaurant

Together with Ah Liew and Ah Moi, we went to Kulim for another round of food hunting.  This restaurant was opened for business just 6 months ago.  Everything here still relatively new.  Incidentally this restaurant was located within a durian farm.  Since I am not a durian fan, didn't ask which type of durian grown here.

We ordered deep fried Patin fish with light soy sauce, Nestum prawn, herbal steamed egg and  hotplate taufu.  The food quality here just average.  Myself and Ah Moi agreed Sg Kob is a better place for the fresh water fish.  BTW, I heard Sg Kob restaurant already moved to new location.
