Haji Mohd Tokun Mee Kuah Ketam @ Bukit Mertajam

Some say it is the best around Bukit Mertajam. The warung is located just next the to main road, i.e. Jalan Kulim. Don't play play, this small warung got 7 workers to support. You can guess how good is the business.

Now, the mee goreng is going to cost you RM3.50/plate, a steep rise from RM2.50/plate couple years ago. Unlike typical Chinese stalls, they don't sell big or small portions. Don't worry, the portion is big enough for an adult like me.

The secret weapon of the delicious mee goreng is the spicy cuttlefish. It blends nicely with the fried noodles and it is hot. You better prepare yourself with a glass of cool coconut drink.

Shogun Japanese Restaurant @ 1 Utama

All together, Saisaki/Shogun got 3 restaurants around KL & PJ. The first restaurant, Saisaki was founded in 1999 @ UOA II KL. The second and third Shogun restaurants were founded at 1 Utama (2005) and Sunway Pyramid (2007) respectively.

It serves fusion styled foods ranging from Japanese, Chinese, Thai and Western cuisine under one roof. Very nice concept and there must be something suitable for you or your family members, from young to old folks. Not to mention they serves great and fresh foods here.

Lunch opens from 12pm-3pm. We arrived at 11am, a bit of "kiasu". No problem of getting a table. At 12:30pm, the restaurant already packed with crowd.

Popeyes @ Sunway Pyramid

We arrived at Sunway Pyramid with a hungry stomach. Then we stumbled upon this fast food restaurant. From the outlook, looks fresh than KFC and McD. So, we decided to give it a try.

A quick check on Wikipedia states that this restaurant was founded on 1972 @ Louisiana. As of 2007, the company has >1800 restaurants over 21 countries, either as company-owned or franchised.

Back to the foods, we ordered chicken combo set, fish combo set, chicken rice bowl and Cajun fries (aka French fries). Hmmm.... actually nothing really impressed me.
