Zhonghua Restaurant (中華小廚) @ Midlands, Pulau Tikus

Me and my dad arrived at 8:30am, the restaurant doors just opened half way. The waiter told us the restaurant will only open at 9am. Can't really imagine the Dim Sum restaurant open so late, they must lose a lot of customers, I guess.

One thing for sure, they serve great Dim Sum @ Penang. Actually, I loved all that we ordered. My dad is quite fussy about Dim Sum, he also cannot deny the great taste. Will come back for more...

FYI, on selected Dim Sum, got 50% discount. Yup, that is right.

Corner Club Restaurant - Gurney Drive

Few Penang-kia recommended this place for great Dim Sum. Phew, I need to drive for about 1 hour from BM, via Penang Bridge to Gurney Drive.

To our surprise, we arrived around 7am with still plenty of car park, hmmm. Inside the restaurant just got 2 tables occupied, ahhh... Doesn't look like a popular Dim Sum hang out place to me.

We just picked our favorite table and settled down. With only 2 adults, we can't sample much Dim Sum. We ordered Siew Mai, Har Kau, Lor Mai Kai and other pastry and deep fried Har Kin and Kam Chin Wanton. Dim Sum here very fresh and the prawn is big and very Q. Taste wise just above average. I still prefer 大優賓 (Sungai Petani) Dim Sum (click here).

Axian Dim Sum (Bandar Puteri Puchong)

This is my second trip to Axian Dim Sum @ Puchong. The first trip really gave me a very good impression and insist for more. However, this round is opposite, very dissapointed. The Dim Sum taste is somehow deteriorated and below average. I don't know why, perhaps my expectation is higher this time or their Dim Sum Sifu changed already?

On the positive note, this place is very hygienic, even the plate/chopsticks/etc. are set kitted and plastic wrapped. Very nice and cosy environment.

Too bad, this round I'm more enjoy on taking photograph than the foods.

Dim Sum @ Sungai Petani - 大優賓香港點心

For the Dim Sum lovers, you must try this one. 大優賓 Restaurant is located at Taman Intan, Sungai Petani, Kedah. According to my Bro, this restaurant is very packed during weekend. One thing for sure, the ingredients they used very fresh, especially the prawns are big and QQ. Not something you can get outside hotel or big restaurants. To me, you can enjoy the 5 stars food at 2 stars price.
