Popeyes @ Sunway Pyramid

We arrived at Sunway Pyramid with a hungry stomach. Then we stumbled upon this fast food restaurant. From the outlook, looks fresh than KFC and McD. So, we decided to give it a try.

A quick check on Wikipedia states that this restaurant was founded on 1972 @ Louisiana. As of 2007, the company has >1800 restaurants over 21 countries, either as company-owned or franchised.

Back to the foods, we ordered chicken combo set, fish combo set, chicken rice bowl and Cajun fries (aka French fries). Hmmm.... actually nothing really impressed me.

Francis Western Food @ Pulau Tikus

Finally we managed to taste the food from the famous Chef Francis Western Food. I heard the name for quite a long time via the food blogs. Some even claimed the Chef serves 5-star food with 2-star price. The restaurant is located at Poly Coffee Garden, Pulau Tikus. Got ample parking space in front of the restaurant.

We arrived around 6:15pm and just got 1 table served. We ordered Cajun Fish, Chicken Chop and Cheese Spaghetti and the food ready by 6:30pm.

Chef Francis in action, spotted with sport attire. Business must be great as I noticed 2 helpers assist him.

Price list...you be the judge. Quite a long menu list...

The youngster really enjoy herself...

Cajun Fish: Baked fish topped with crab stick, pineapple, mango, tomato and special sauce. Side dishes are mashed potatoes, coleslaw and 2 slices of garlic bread.
Verdict: Ummmm... I never taste something like this before. Something refreshing and simply delicious. Great combination and food presentation. No wonder people is saying the food is 5-star hotel rating.

Chicken Chop: Deep fried chicken served with special mushroom sauce. Side dishes are potato chips, coleslaw and 2 pieces of garlic bread.
Verdict: The chicken is crispy outside and juicy tender inside. I found the the taste is just above average. Perhaps my expectation is higher now after the Cajun Fish.

Cheese Spaghetti: Spaghetti with mushroom, chicken ham, cheesy sauce and grated cheese topping.
Verdict: The cheese flavor really kicking... I still prefer the ordinary tomato based sauce.

In overall, it is still a great western food experience for us. I am looking forward to come back again to try on other signature dishes.

Swensen's Auto City

Guess what, tonight we are going to indulge ourself with great foods at Swensen's Auto City.

Let's take a peek on the surrounding first, very cosy environment indeed.

Ok Ok, someone cannot wait liao ...

With only 2 adults and 2 kids, not much variety that we can try. Anyway, look at what we had ordered;
1) Deep fried mushroom served with delicious creamy tartar sauce (RM8.90). It may look 'ugly' but the taste was so good with the tartar sauce, ummmm...

2) Chicken mushroom spaghetti served with tomato sauce and sprinkled with cheese on top (RM15.90). To me, so so nia. Nothing to shout about. Still prefer my home cooked spaghetti with Prego sauce, minus the price. ;)

3) BBQ chicken (RM17.60). Half chicken, tenderly braised and grilled in smoked BBQ sauce. Served with potatoes and vegetable. Quite big serving and enough for 2 adults.

4) Swensen's Banana Split ice-cream (RM15.90). 3 scoops with 3 flavors. The strawberry, chocolate and vanilla ice-cream drenched with chocolate fudge, strawberry and pineapple toppings, fresh banana slices and almond chips. My kids loved it, of course me too.

Overall, we had a great time there.
