White Curry Mee @ Abu Siti Lane, Penang.

Nowadays, Curry Mee also got many fancy names. My friend strongly suggest me to try White Curry Mee at Hot Bowl restaurant. The restaurant is located along Abu Siti Lane. We arrived around 11:45am and to our surprise a lots of empty tables. Me and my friend just wondering, are we in the right restaurant??? At 12pm, suddenly a lot of customers coming in and fully occupied all tables, WOW.

Back to the Curry Mee, as the name suggested the soup base is white in color as opposed to ordinary Chili Red color. You MUST add the Curry paste (served in a separate bowl) in order to bring out the Curry flavor. Yes, indeed nice and hot. Also, you MUST try the Hainanese Chicken, superb. Very smooth meat texture and taste great with the light soy sauce. I just got a minor feedback, the soy sauce is too sweet to my liking.

Despite being famous, the Tauke is not arrogant at all, just modest and polite. The restaurant is clean and air conditioned. Highly recommended.
