Kuala Kurau/Kuala Gula @ Perak
Yippee! We are on the food hunting trip again. This time we went to Kuala Gula (Perak), for the famous Crab Bihun. The 65km trip took us about 1.5hrs and pass through small towns like Nibong Tebal, Parit Buntar and Kuala Kurau. The fishing villages at Kuala Kurau and Kuala Gula are calm and peaceful, I like it. It is a great experience for my kids too. Too bad I didn't manage to locate a nice spot to take the sunset view at the fishing port :(
We had our dinner at Ai Tee Seafood Restaurant (Kuala Gula). If you are here, you must try their famous Crab Bihun. We also ordered deep fried small squid and Nestum prawn.

Kek Lok Si @ Night
The whole Kek Lok Si will be lighted up during Chinese New Year. Whether you are from Penang or not, you should visit this place at least once to enjoy the spectacular night scenery with sea of light. Trust me, you will be impressed than just looking at the photo.

知粥满意 @ Cheras
I was confused when arrived at this place. Got 2 restaurants, almost similar but separated by another shop in between. At first, I thought they just moved from the corner shop lot (which is closed on the day) into smaller shop lot (newly renovated). Later, I heard the new shop is operated by the wife. The husband still operate the old shop aka Mr Claypot. Sounds peculiar, right? Ok, don't ask me why.
We ordered Clay Pot rice and some Teow Chew dishes. Is that too much for 5 of us (2 of which are children)? I find the Teow Chew dishes are just average, in fact a bit salty to eat with Clay Pot rice. My mistake.
On the other hand, the Clay Pot rice is nice. Tops with small anchovies and salted fish, it really bring the overall aroma a notch up.
Perhaps on the next trip, I would try Mr Claypot and make a comparison.
