Pontian Wanton Noodles @ SS15

Most popular handmade wanton noodles from Pontian, Johor? I don't know that for sure. But I do know they have a branch near SS15, Subang Jaya.

Backed with 60 years of experience of making Wanton noodles, the shop claims the noodles won't get soften even for the take away order and they are selling >1000 bowls a day (all Malaysia branches combined). Anyway, I still prefer to eat in whenever is possible.

The combination of the noodles texture/softness and soya sauce are perfect. It tastes so wonderful. Highly recommended!

Ba Kut Teh Again?

I think I am hooked to Ba Kut Teh.

This time we managed to try 2 BKT. One in Klang and another one in Puchong.

First, we go to our favourite Teluk Pulai (Branch) BKT in Taman Intan. To our surprise, they also serve Dried BKT now. I think this is what the competition is all about, you just need to look into markets need. Somehow their version of Dried BKT just below average. Still prefer their famous BKT in soup.

Day 2, we went to Puchong to try Yap Chuan BKT. I heard they are famous for Dried BKT. Indeed, their Dried BKT is far better than Teluk Pulai. The black soya, dried chillies and dried cuttlefish flavours just blended nicely in the clay pot. No doubt so many celebrities visited this place.

Phad Thai Restaurant, Taipan USJ

Phad Thai restaurant serves authentic Thai food. Found out this place from a food blog. We managed to get a table without fuss. After 10 minutes, out of sudden the restaurant was packed with people.

To our surprise, they served the Thab Thim Krob (dessert) first. As usual, I like the dessert so much, just the ice a bit coarse. It would be perfect if they made the ice finer.

We also like the Green Curry Chicken, Pandan Chicken & Pineapple Rice. It tastes just great. Next visit, I would definitely try the Tom Yam Kung.

The Gardens

Room Eighteen @ Mid Valley Megamall

Room 18 serves Hong Kong styled cuisine. It is another restaurant by the Tai Thong Group.

Nothing much I can comment on the food, just average.

Pun Chun Restaurant @ Bidor, Perak

We purposely drop by on the way to KL. This restaurant is famous for duck soup noodles.

Got to wait for 20 minutes before can get a table and it took another 40 minutes to deliver the food. Really good business. While waiting, I recommend you to try Fried Yam Puff aka "Woo Kok".

I really enjoy the duck soup and this could be the best by far, really strong herbs aroma. However, the noodles just so so.

About the service, kind of bad. When I asked about other good recommendations than duck soup noodles, the waitress asked me to read at the front menu board, what la :(. Occasionally you can hear the waitress shout.
