Ba Kut Teh Again?

I think I am hooked to Ba Kut Teh.

This time we managed to try 2 BKT. One in Klang and another one in Puchong.

First, we go to our favourite Teluk Pulai (Branch) BKT in Taman Intan. To our surprise, they also serve Dried BKT now. I think this is what the competition is all about, you just need to look into markets need. Somehow their version of Dried BKT just below average. Still prefer their famous BKT in soup.

Day 2, we went to Puchong to try Yap Chuan BKT. I heard they are famous for Dried BKT. Indeed, their Dried BKT is far better than Teluk Pulai. The black soya, dried chillies and dried cuttlefish flavours just blended nicely in the clay pot. No doubt so many celebrities visited this place.

a) Teluk Pulai (Branch) BKT, Taman Intan, Klang

b) Yap Chuan BKT, Puchong.

Phad Thai Restaurant, Taipan USJ

Phad Thai restaurant serves authentic Thai food. Found out this place from a food blog. We managed to get a table without fuss. After 10 minutes, out of sudden the restaurant was packed with people.

To our surprise, they served the Thab Thim Krob (dessert) first. As usual, I like the dessert so much, just the ice a bit coarse. It would be perfect if they made the ice finer.

We also like the Green Curry Chicken, Pandan Chicken & Pineapple Rice. It tastes just great. Next visit, I would definitely try the Tom Yam Kung.

The Gardens

Room Eighteen @ Mid Valley Megamall

Room 18 serves Hong Kong styled cuisine. It is another restaurant by the Tai Thong Group.

Nothing much I can comment on the food, just average.

Pun Chun Restaurant @ Bidor, Perak

We purposely drop by on the way to KL. This restaurant is famous for duck soup noodles.

Got to wait for 20 minutes before can get a table and it took another 40 minutes to deliver the food. Really good business. While waiting, I recommend you to try Fried Yam Puff aka "Woo Kok".

I really enjoy the duck soup and this could be the best by far, really strong herbs aroma. However, the noodles just so so.

About the service, kind of bad. When I asked about other good recommendations than duck soup noodles, the waitress asked me to read at the front menu board, what la :(. Occasionally you can hear the waitress shout.

I Like Surprises

Wow. Almost 4 months didn't update my Blog. Time really flies.

Tonight, I just stumbled on a very good video clip. Before he starts singing, people already prejudged him. Well, you can't blame them. This is the world that we are living in.

Anyway, I do like surprises. Especially the one can touch your soul and motivate you.

Update: Wow, not bad. Josh got the 2nd place. Actually I hope he win the talent show.

Kim Gary @ Gurney Plaza

Hmmm... Another Hong Kong style restaurant.

The restaurant is a bit of rundown. The sofa seat cover is torn, with a big hole. Still, a lot of customers during lunch hour.

We ordered Spaghetti with tomato sauce, Baked cheese chicken rice & Baked cheese with various type of mushrooms. Again, like typical Hongkie style restaurant, the foods are just ordinary.

Apa itu Durian?

www.durianfm.com

I like the tagline, "Not for anyone". In real life, some people like durian and some not. Some people like pedas, some not. Some are being ignorant, some not....

Not sure about you, I'd give up on local mainstream media, be it TV News, Newspaper or Radio. I have stopped buying Newspaper for more than 1 year. They don't deserve to earn my money. To me, media supposes to play an important role to report the truth, fair and balanced news, as simple as that.

Today, I got my source of information from the Internet. Of course, one must digest the information with care and then make your own conclusion.

Last year, one of my favourite DJ, Jamal got expelled from 988 Radio Station. I like his courage, openness & frankness. On 8 Mar 11 3:08pm, he got "new life" by launching Durian FM, an Internet Radio.

On the last few days, I heard their live coverage on 709 event, something you never got a chance to hear from the mainstream channels, never never. The live sharing from the callers almost make my cry. My salute to those fighting for a Good Cause. To make a change, one must stand up and take action. What say you?
