What is this?

Guess what is this?

Green outside and white inside. Skinless!

This is what it looks like. New hybrid? Guava + Apple? Found this fruit on my recent trip to Cameron Highland. I found the taste quite nice and unique. If you look carefully, the outer skin of the guava has been peeled off and dipped into Apple flavor greeny syrup. Therefore, this is not a naturally grown fruit. Eat at your own risk!

Big Tree Foot (大树脚) @ Pasir Pinji, Ipoh

Next stop, 大树脚 @ Pasir Pinji, Ipoh.

Look at the banner below, the coffee shop has been operating for the last 40 years, wow. Look at the Yong Tau Fu stall, look like on promotion, some sort like buy one free one, he he. Just joking.

We ordered Ice-Blended Dragon Fruits (RM5), Ice-Blended Red Bean (RM3), some Yong Tau Fu with Koay Teow soup and Curry Mee (RM8), Chicken Porridge (RM2.30) and Popiah (RM1.70/pc). The one must mention here is Yong Tau Fu, very freshly made and taste very good. As good as Ampang Yong Tau Fu.

Kedai Kopi Keng Nam (Ipoh)

As I said before, I will be back to Ipoh for more foods. This round, we stop by at Keng Nam, along Jalan Raja Ekram. Here, you must try the curry mee and pulut kaya.

Instead of curry chicken or prawn as preferred in the North, here you have a combination of shredded chicken, char siew and seow bak. I must mention the curry gravy is very much better than those selling ordinary Yong Tau Fu in Ipoh.

The pulut aka glutinous rice is very soft and served with thick kaya paste. What a perfect combination. Almost every table ordered this. You can't go wrong, right?
