This restaurant is located along Jalan Berjaya, just nearby Kampung Baru. We passed by this place many times and somehow not aware of this restaurant.
Today, we just ordered normal dishes, clay pot curry fish (RM12, small), deep fried squid (Rm8, small) and marmite chicken (RM8, small). The curry fish is just above average, sour but not so spicy. Talking about curry fish, I still prefer from Lok Yuan Restaurant @ Bukit Tengah. Here, I would recommend the deep fried squid, very crispy till the last piece and best to dip with chili sauce (>>> Anything taste nice is not good for your health, too bad <<<). Last at not least, the marmite chicken also nice and my kids love it.

Zhu Ling Village Centre @ Kubang Semang, BM
A friend of mine recommends this place. According to him, this place is cheaper than Khun Thai @ Butterworth and the food is great. I have not visited Khun Thai and therefore I cannot make any comparison.
Equipped with GPS device, I have no problem to locate this place. The only confusion is the restaurant name. On the sign board beside main road, it stated as Zhu Ling Village Centre but the name given by my friend was Bamboo Thai Restaurant, no wonder we missed this place on the first attempt. Luckily my friend told me to observe the sign board before the school and we managed to locate this place after another searching mission. To those interested about the place, watch out this sign board just before SRJ(K) Kubang Semang school, then take the small road beside the school and the restaurant is just located about 1km from the main road. I asked the restaurant owner why the restaurant name is different and according to him, he cannot register the Bamboo Thai name as someone already registered it. Too bad.
I was surprised and impressed to see the restaurant is quite big, clean and nicely decorated with those bamboo huts. We arrived about 1:30pm and we are the only customers. Wow, look like we book the entire restaurant, ha ha.
We ordered,
- Whole Fresh Coconut - RM3.00/pc
- White Seafood Tomyam - RM25 (small)
- Golden Prawn Cake - RM2.50/pc
- Pandan Chicken - RM2.00/pc
- Mix 4 (sambal stir fry with 4 types of bean: long bean, lady finger, coconut shoot & angled bean) - RM10 (small)
- White Rice
The Prawn Cake is crispy outside but inside the prawn meat very Q. Yes, we like it so much. The Mix 4 also nice, actually this is the first time we try on coconut shoot, very crunchy. The White Tomyam is just so so, perhaps not enough spicy kick. Overall we paid for RM54.50, with the foods that we ordered and the nice environment (not to mention we 'book' the entire restaurant), it really worth it.

Pan Fried Bread @ Taman Sri Rambai Market (南美園), BM
The bread is laterally fried on the hot pan without any oil. Got various filling like coconut, peanut, red bean paste and lotus paste. I personally like the peanut. If you drop by the market, just give it a try and eat healthy at least for once. The price is RM0.80 per piece.

Yi Xiang Bak Kut Teh (益香绑线肉骨茶) @ Autocity
Google search found few branches available throughout Malaysia, from Jalan Ipoh, Subang Jaya, Bandar Puchong Jaya, Macalister Road to Autocity. Business must be good, how about the food?
We arrived around 6:30pm and still got plenty of tables. Here, you need to order in ala carte style and everything served individually. Not like usual Bak Kut Teh, everything mixed together. To my surprise, all in single size serving, no small, medium or large. We ordered Ro Gu (肉骨), Fen Chang (猪肠), Golden Mushroom, Meat Ball and You Tiao (油條). I found the soup lack of herb flavor, no kick for me. Both myself and my wife also agreed the black soya flavor in the soup was too strong. Overall, just so so nia. Be warned, the price is not cheap here. Our bills came for RM46, almost double than ordinary Bak Kut Teh price.

HTC Legend
Got this smartphone for wifey some time ago. This phone is solidly built, actually quite resemblance to my old Iphone 2g. You may not aware, the body of the HTC Legend is cut from a single piece of brushed aluminium. What a piece of engineering work. The phone also looks gorgeous. Nevertheless, I still love my Iphone, he he.

Recently I installed Papago GPS Navigation software on both Iphone and HTC Legend. Papago M7 (Apple iOS) and Papago X5 (Google Android OS) to be exact. Both user interfaces (UI) are quite identical and easy to use. My wife loves it.

What is this?
Guess what is this?
Green outside and white inside. Skinless!
This is what it looks like. New hybrid? Guava + Apple? Found this fruit on my recent trip to Cameron Highland. I found the taste quite nice and unique. If you look carefully, the outer skin of the guava has been peeled off and dipped into Apple flavor greeny syrup. Therefore, this is not a naturally grown fruit. Eat at your own risk!
