Ki Xiang Ba Kut Teh @ Prai

I just discussed with my colleagues on the other day about nice foods around mainland and she recommended me about this place. So, next day I'm here :). Ba Kut Teh is one of my favorite.

To my surprise, the place is located near Megamall and I didn't realize this corner before. According to the young Taukeh, they opened this restaurant more than 1 year ago.

We arrived around 8:30pm and just few tables occupied. This place is spacious and well ventilated, great for eating Ba Kut Teh. We ordered 1 soup and 1 dry Ba Kut Teh, with less oily meats, pork ribs, stomach, enoki mushrooms, meat balls and pork intestines. I know my parent also like Ba Kut Teh, will bring them over here next time.

Logitech Harmony 900

New toy in the house, Logitech Harmony 900 Remote control.

More advanced features than my previous Logitech Harmony 885 (Click Here).

- Touch screen
- Higher LCD resolution
- RF control (can control your device even out of sight, up to 30m)
- Better ergonomic, to name the few.

Harmony 900 looks and performs better than my old Harmony 885 in every aspect. Hold better and secure than 885 due to the curvature and rubberize back. Touch screen is very responsive and capacitive type, won't work with finger nail but works like charm with a soft touch with finger. Elegance and sexy.

Setup is simple. Just install the software inside the CD and attach USB cable to the Harmony 900, you are ready to go. Logitech claims to have more than 225000 devices database available. No problem to update my Plasma TV, Projector, Blu Ray player, DVD player, DVD recorder, WD TV Live, Xtreamer and LG HTIB remotes into single Harmony 900. Too bad it won't work with PS3 with Bluetooth connectivity. If you serious about it, Logitech got the solution with IR-Bluetooth adapter for USD50. Setup the One-Touch Activity is simple. I got few "Activity" setup, namely "Watch WDTV", "Watch Blu Ray" and etc. What the One-Touch Activity does is to run few commands sequences, like switch on the TV, WDTV, AV Receiver, change TV to AV1 for you, instead of manually press it for multiple times. In other word, it just automate the process for you.

The only bad things I can think of now are fingerprints magnet and expensive (Amazon's price USD286.61). You pay what you get.

Unboxing Harmony 900.

RF to IR blasters. You can hide the blasters inside TV cabinet. Now you can control your devices even with the cabinet doors closed. Nice huh.

Francis Western Food @ Pulau Tikus

Finally we managed to taste the food from the famous Chef Francis Western Food. I heard the name for quite a long time via the food blogs. Some even claimed the Chef serves 5-star food with 2-star price. The restaurant is located at Poly Coffee Garden, Pulau Tikus. Got ample parking space in front of the restaurant.

We arrived around 6:15pm and just got 1 table served. We ordered Cajun Fish, Chicken Chop and Cheese Spaghetti and the food ready by 6:30pm.

Chef Francis in action, spotted with sport attire. Business must be great as I noticed 2 helpers assist him.

Price list...you be the judge. Quite a long menu list...

The youngster really enjoy herself...

Cajun Fish: Baked fish topped with crab stick, pineapple, mango, tomato and special sauce. Side dishes are mashed potatoes, coleslaw and 2 slices of garlic bread.
Verdict: Ummmm... I never taste something like this before. Something refreshing and simply delicious. Great combination and food presentation. No wonder people is saying the food is 5-star hotel rating.

Chicken Chop: Deep fried chicken served with special mushroom sauce. Side dishes are potato chips, coleslaw and 2 pieces of garlic bread.
Verdict: The chicken is crispy outside and juicy tender inside. I found the the taste is just above average. Perhaps my expectation is higher now after the Cajun Fish.

Cheese Spaghetti: Spaghetti with mushroom, chicken ham, cheesy sauce and grated cheese topping.
Verdict: The cheese flavor really kicking... I still prefer the ordinary tomato based sauce.

In overall, it is still a great western food experience for us. I am looking forward to come back again to try on other signature dishes.
