Home Theatre System

The Projector - Optoma HD-65
The is a small form factor DLP projector, just weight about 2 kg and 259x188x73mm in size. It uses 720p (16:9) DMD display chip from Texas Instrument. The projector typical brightness is 1600 ANSI Lumen with 4000:1 Contrast Ratio.

The Screen - Matte White projector screen
I ordered it from US via Ebay. Believe it or not, the shipping cost from US is about the same as the price of the projector screen, sigh... No choice, cheap and good stuff not easily available in our Bolehland. Then, get a carpenter to fabricate a 90" diagonal (16:9 aspect ratio) wood frame. I personally wrap the screen around the wood frame and fixed it the staple gun. Nice hah!

The Player - Playstation 3
This is the most affordable multipurpose game console and video player (can play Blu Ray, DVD, MP4, AVI etc.). Frankly speaking, I used it most for video than game. To have the best picture quality, I used a HDMI cable to connect the PS3 to Optoma HD-65.

The Picture Quality!
Judge it yourself.

Beng Huat Assam Fish Chicken Rice, Prai Penang

Wow, I totally lost count how many times that I've visited this place. Indeed this restaurant serves the best Chicken Rice and Assam soup around Penang Mainland. Frankly speaking, I'm prefer this one than the Melaka Chicken Rice Ball. Sorry, no offense huh.

You should start with few spoons of Assam soup first, this definitely will bring up your appetite.

The chicken skin is crispy whereas the meat is soft. This is different from the ordinary roasted chicken.

There are variety of add-on side orders, ranges from deep fried 'taukua', 'lobak', assam fish, eggs, fish ball and etc.

Ah Keat Restaurant @ Raja Uda, Butterworth

This place was recommended by a friend. When I heard this place got 'Char Moi' aka Fried Porridge, I must give it a try. Frankly, I was hooked with Fried Porridge from Sin Aik Kee, Serdang. Will see if this one can match up with the one from Serdang, Kedah.

We arrived about 7:45pm and the restaurant already packed with people.

Look at the row of aquariums, with various type of live seafood from eels, lobsters, fish and etc. Some may cost you a bomb ...

So, are we ready to eat ...

Starter, the Fried Porridge (RM10). It smells good but taste a bit salty. Could be due to the cutterfish shred. I'm still prefer Fried Porridge from Serdang, Kedah.

Next, 'Nam Ju' fried chicken wing (RM6). My kids love it.

Butter-fried mantis prawn, with salted egg yolk, lots of egg yolks ... the price is RM45, ouch! Yup, quite expensive as it used 2 big fresh mantis prawns instead of normal small size prawn meat. My recommendation to eat with rice, otherwise a bit salty.

Deep fried tauhu (RM8). This homemade is recommended.

Steamed La-La, served with chilli and lemon (RM10). Really increase your appetite.

If you like to try it, here is the address.
