Kedai Kopi Keng Nam (Ipoh)

As I said before, I will be back to Ipoh for more foods. This round, we stop by at Keng Nam, along Jalan Raja Ekram. Here, you must try the curry mee and pulut kaya.

Instead of curry chicken or prawn as preferred in the North, here you have a combination of shredded chicken, char siew and seow bak. I must mention the curry gravy is very much better than those selling ordinary Yong Tau Fu in Ipoh.

The pulut aka glutinous rice is very soft and served with thick kaya paste. What a perfect combination. Almost every table ordered this. You can't go wrong, right?

Toh Soon Cafe (Campbell Street, Penang)

This was my second attempt. The first attempt was disappointed as later found out the shop closed on Sunday, sigh...

My brother-in-law was here in Penang last week on business trip. On the way to airport, we stopped by at Toh Soon Cafe (on purpose he he) for breakfast. We arrived about 8:10am and this place already packed with crowd. Got to wait for about 10 minutes before can secure our table and another 15 more minutes before getting our foodddddd. The charcoal toasted bread is crispy outside but soft inside. You can choose a variety of topping from butter & sugar, butter kaya and peanut butter. Not to mention the must order half boiled egg, yummy.
